Open 7 days a week from 9:30pm - 4:30pm!
Here at The Berry Dairy, the past few months have been a whirlwind of activity, growth, and community connection. November marked the height of our strawberry season, with production peaking at an incredible 400 kilograms of strawberries per day. During this time, our strawberries found their way into donuts, beer, gin, jam, and more, delighting taste buds and spreading berry joy.
However, as with any farming endeavor, strawberry production comes with its ups and downs. After the high of November and Decembers peak, we’re now navigating a period of low production. The end of the peak season, combined with recent hot and windy weather, has unfortunately damaged our current strawberry crop, leading to significantly reduced volumes.
The timing couldn’t be worse, as the school holidays are typically a bustling period for us. We love seeing families visit, picking up strawberries to enjoy together or turning them into homemade creations. We currently are struggling to always meet the demand, and we sincerely thank you for your patience and understanding during this challenging time.
Despite the current lull, we’re optimistic about what’s to come. Our fields are already showing signs of recovery, and we’re hopeful for the next flush of strawberries in the coming weeks. Rest assured, as soon as the berries are back in abundance, we’ll have plenty of fresh, juicy strawberries ready for you to enjoy.
In the meantime, we remain incredibly grateful for the support and encouragement we’ve received from our community. Farming is unpredictable, but having a community like ours makes it all worthwhile. Thank you for sticking with us through the highs and lows – we can’t wait to share more of our delicious strawberries with you soon!
While we might be low on strawberries right now, there’s still so much to enjoy here at The Berry Dairy! Our café is serving up delicious treats, including our signature ice creams made with local ingredients. The kids can explore the playground, meet the friendly animals in our petting zoo, and enjoy a fun-filled day on the farm. Plus, our shelves are stocked with an array of local produce and goodies to take home. So, even without an abundance of strawberries, there’s plenty of reasons to visit. We look forward to welcoming you soon for a day of family fun and farm-fresh delights!
