What you'll experience on the tour

The Berry Dairy sits at the front of our working dairy farm, home to around 550 Friesian and Kiwi-cross dairy cows.

Your tractor tour takes you beyond the public visitor areas and into the farm itself.

During the tour you'll:

● travel through our dairy farm and paddocks
● get a closer look at the herd
● learn how we grow and manage pasture for our cows
● hear about the irrigation system that helps us grow pasture
● learn how grass and grain ultimately become milk
● visit the dairy while the cows are being milked
● end with a visit past our Highland cows!

Where does your milk come from?

Milk doesn't begin in a bottle - and our Dairy Farm Tractor Tour gives visitors the opportunity to see some of the process firsthand.

Our cows graze irrigated pasture grown on the farm, supported with grain as part of their diet. During the tour you'll learn more about how the cows are cared for, how the pasture is grown and how milk makes its way from the cow through the dairy.

For families in particular, it's an opportunity to connect the food in the fridge with the farm it originally came from.
